Anyone in CA received their HOV lane stickers?
That's consistent with DMV's posting at http://www.dmv.ca.gov/vr/decal.htm
Interesting that US858 (see message #594 below) was issued sticker #81xxx. Maybe the #'s don't take into account replacement stickers, gov't vehicles, etc.

Hi,
I am ready to file my paperwork to DMV for my stickers. The form says that I need to send evidence of vehicle identification for Fastrak. I do not use the bridges during the week and hence do not need fastrak. Is this needed? Fastrak applications charge close to 50$..
Anyone has any idea about this?
Thanks

According to the above website: "Because any eligible hybrid vehicle may use the carpool-only lanes on these bridges, all hybrids must be outfitted with these special devices. So, even hybrid drivers who do not regularly commute across a toll bridge must sign up for FasTrak® to use the carpool lanes. "
I suppose that is even ambiguous - because what if you don't want to use the carpool lanes on the bridges? hmmmmm...... think maybe you should call them!

I sent in my application on 10/17, and the DMV just cashed the check on 11/12 - seems like this took longer than most others.
Apparently, I now have to wait until next year to receive the stickers. Looks like I just missed the cut-off for the initial 75000 stickers.

I sent my application before thanksgiving and DMV hasnt cashed my cheque yet.. Is it too early or should I call to check with them? Does any one know the number to call in northen california?

Sent mine in Oct 31, DMV hasn't cashed mine yet either.
When I called a few weeks ago, they told me they will cash the
check in about 4-8 wks after receiving them. Toward end of December,
they will be mailing out letters informing you that you will be receiving a sticker after the beginning of the year.

I just received a letter from the DMV indicating that the initial 75K stickers are gone , but the remaining 10K stickers will be issed after Jan 1. No big surprise.
Interestingly, they did indicate a sticker # on the letter, so I hope that this confirms that I will be getting one in Jan.
