Anyone in CA received their HOV lane stickers?
[QUOTE=fasteddie]By the way the dealers charged us for electronic filing and we got my plates less than a month after we took delivery of our cars. For those that are just buying this might be worth the extra $28.00. QUOTE]
Back in March when I purchased my HCHII, I actually paid for the car before it arrived so I could get the registration info in and order the stickers. My dealer screwed things up by forgetting to submit the registration info, and my initial application was rejected by DMV (and my $8 check returned). My vehicle arrived the next day and I submitted the application again... and the dealer promised he would get the registration info handled. To my surprise, the next day he managed to get plates for it (only one day after delivery!!!). I submitted the application AGAIN (heck, it's only $8), this time with the plate info.
Two weeks later DMV cashed BOTH checks. Another week and I got ONE set of stickers. Never heard back on the other sticker or my $8. Not worth my time to track it down. Just happy I have the stickers! Saves me a ton of time on the morning commute.
The point here is that if my dealer could obtain plates in one day, your dealer can probably do the same!!!

I did the same... I called the dealer where i got my hybrid from and they did some research and made a note to call me once my license plate number was issued.
To piggy back off of that.... My dealer called me 2 weeks ago with my license plate information so i could send the HOV app to the DMV for the stickers. Still today i have not received my license plates. So what I'm saying (for anyone waiting for their license plate number to submit HOV application to DMV) is that you're license plate number COULD have been issued already but the wait time for the license plate to get from the DMV to your house maybe 2-3 weeks. That's 2-3 weeks of a better chance of getting your stickers. Does that make sense?

Back in November I sent in my application without the licence plate number filled in and my stickers arrived at the house about five weeks after I sent in the application.
It is my understanding that the dealers have two ways to send in registration to DMV:
1) Old fashion - mail in (or drop in) plus processing 2-3 weeks OR
2) Electronic Transmission (most dealers charge ~$50 for this). I was able to negotiate this to 0.
I took Electronic and sent in my app in Nov 21st on the day I got the car. I received the stickers mid December. In the field for plate number on the certificate is blank. I received the plates 2-3 weeks after that.
Maybe ones being rejected are the Old fashion registration????

When my application got rejected the first time DMV said my info was not in the computer...but when I called them they said that it WAS in the computer along with license plate number(dumbE me I did'nt ask for the Plate number) But the rejection form does say 'Either' 'OR'. So if you just have the Vin# it should have been ok! But you know the DMV,LOL...Got it rejected the 2nd time and this time it said to WAIT for plates to arrive!!! ARG!!!
Now its been Two weeks since then and I am pray'n and Hope'n! :-)

Getting close to the wire (cutoff) I suppose, so DMV is being a lot more particular about apps than they were when I got mine when the program first was ramping up.
What's the latest number, and has any one gotten wind of study results surrounding impact of single occupant users in HOV lanes?
Gotta love my hybrid!!
Thanks,
Lansing

I was able to get mine without the plate number, too. What I did do was contact them (when they were picking up the phone) to insure the plate number had been issued so that they could do their paperwork.
You guys are right...very inconsistent process and requirements.
Once you get the stickers, though, it's "Hello HOV Lane!" My brother drove his wife's hybrid in the HOV lane for the first time and said he felt 'priveledged.' It is a good feeling, and we're doing the right thing for the environment, too!!!!
