I got my car on december 30 2007 9000 miles later rear control arms and two new tires told me this would fix the issue now its june and same problem there ordering 4 new tires and replacing rear arms.

im getting mad the shaking at hyway speeds is making me nervous i think this is a Serious safety issue and the dealer told me of the thousands of cars hes seen for this problem im the only one thats come back. So do you think this is a lemon? I live in ohio.

 

My first concern is that you posted in the wrong section? This is the Accord section, and looks like you own a Civic.

Second, it's hard to say what's causing your problem. You've hardly given enough information, but from what you've said, it sounds like the dealership is working on trying to figure it out. Is that right?

Perhaps unrelated, but my Odyssey had a slight sway at highway speeds. The first time I took it to the dealership, they said they couldn't find anything wrong. The tech checked all the bolts underneath and even took it for a test drive. He said he didn't feel any swaying. The second time I took my vehicle in, the tech said he couldn't duplicate. So I went for a ride with the service manager and was able to duplicate for him. He said he'd have someone else look at it and give me a call within a day. That same day they called me back to say my right rear shock was showing slight signs of wear, so they replaced it and the swaying was gone. It's been several thousand miles since and I've yet to feel that same sway again.

So what does all this mean to you? 1) sometimes a problem is so elusive that it takes multiple trips to get it fixed. It's not that the mechanics don't know what they're doing, but it's awful hard to fix a problem that they're having a hard time duplicating enough so that they could trace the problem down to the exact component. 2) maybe you could ask your service manager if the problem you're seeing is related to the rear struts. It's worth a shot.
