I did the math... but it's a little less than $9.68.

1 gallon = 3.7843 liters
3.7843 x 1.53euro = 5.79 euro per gallon
5.79 euro = $8.04 at today's exchange rate.

Still almost 3x our prices, though!!! I'd be riding my bicycle more if gas was $8 a gallon (if they had decent bike routes here... which unfortunately they don't!!!)

You're right. I used the DHL site but the used an english?? gallon wich is 4.55 liter.

But since a barrel crude oil closed over $ 80,-- in New York last night we will soon reach the $ 10,-- for a US gallon.

Shocking I know... European men seem to be more comfortable with a girlfiend/spouse that is significantly taller then they are, as this chap seems pretty happy. His woman however looks peeved that he drives a sporty forest green Euro SUV babe mobile and would prefer he drove something more sensible.

One thing I have noticed when I'm going around in Europe- the 'big' cars on the roads are often American brands. It may not be a general truth, but it's my observation. All the cute little cars that zip around curves and through narrow paths are European brands, Smart, VW, whatever, and they look boxy or racy or shrunken in all kinds of interesting ways that I find very appealing but that we just don't have in our market. Why is our market so stupid? Why couldn't we have those choices here?
