Actually, I do just about 1,000 miles a week, plus a once a month round trip to your neck of the woods.

Okay, so you've thrown down the Mileage gauntlet I suppose. I accept. And give me a shout the next time you are heading my way. If the odometers are close then we might hop in each other's car accidentally. I would then wonder why it sends me halfway across OH when I tell it to "Go Home." =)

Well lookie at the Mileage Database at this time and in just one week I've jumped from 39th to 27th -- PLUS -- I've passed you in the list for total miles on the car by 634 miles. Same number of tanks (27) and a close average (my 48.1 mpg to your 49.0 mpg). My weekend trip to the Milwaukee Hybrid Group helped as I did 1,361 miles from Friday to Sunday with the return trip resulting in 630 miles (from Oconomowoc, WI actually) for one tank at 56.8 mpg on the snow tires and non-stock wheels and 40-degree temperatures.
If you filled up over the weekend or will enter your next tank in the database before I do then you might skip over me but we are neck-and-neck at this point. Keep up the great work, Jordan.

I've got 26,399 miles at 51.8 mpg. Were you asking about highest miles or highest mpg ???? I think I take the cake on the miles. And the sad thing ???? I'm 22, I only work part time, and I go to school full time.

Luis - That is indeed a high mileage for the car as not many others are in the mid-20k yet. I ss in the Mileage Database though that you only have 16k listed as yours. Did you buy the car with 10k on the odometer? If so then your net miles are 16k and total miles are 26k. I have just 15k after 3 months and you know what is sad - I'll have another 15k in 4 months or 30k by early March so you'd better check your rearview mirror as I'll be fast approaching <grin>.
I think people were wondering total miles (I was) for what things have broken so those with less miles can anticipate these events. Keep us posted you guys.

JordanCS - We are leap-frogging each other in the Mileage Database. I entered a tank on Nov 3 and was ahead of you in total miles, you added one on Nov 5 and took the lead, I added one yesterday to lead, you added one today and captured the trophy again. I've had an unusually slow work week so I don't know if I will be ahead of you for quite some time if ever. Good showdown nevertheless. I've seemed to plateau at 24th place (weighted sort) in the Mileage Database (the weighted sort is ranking people by the miles they've put on their car not on the total mileage of their car so if they bought it at 10k miles and put 6k on it themselves then their car should have 6k in the Mileage Database). Overall I am 27th though so not too much of a difference really (Jordan - you are 25th overall and 22nd actual rank). This is phun!

Darren - also realize that my first tank (which was about 450 miles) is not in the database, so add 450 to whatever I have. I'm currently at about 16,750 miles on the odometer right now. Due for my second service, which I'll do next week. I'll really take a leap next week, I think, as I'll add an additional 800 miles next weekend on top of the usual 1,000 I do.

Re: highest miles 2006 HCH
<untyped expletives> Well I enjoyed my life on top while I was there. I was fortunate to pick up my car with just 19 miles on it which was 250 miles from home so the trip home plus the next day of work pretty much ended the first tank at 410 miles and (gasp) 39.0 mpg calculated (due to the use of full-Cruise Control at higher speeds than I drive now, wipers, and A/C defrost for the 4-hr drive back from the dealer). My wife has a great friend in Columbus (north along one of the Belts) so I'll have to stop by the next time we get out there. I'm trying to wait for the Oil Life to drop so that I can rotate the winter tires also - should be another week or two. I've put 15,750 on the car in 95 days but these last two week of low miles have dropped my daily average to 165 mi/day - egads -- some members here don't even drive that many miles per WEEK. =)
