Fan

Does anyone know what water temp the fan kicks on? Is it an electric fan? By the way, I was going off my ScanGauge.

Its electric and probably about 150 deg. ? H

I was thinking more like 195 degrees. My temp gauge from my scangauge never seems to go above 193-195.

Yes , but 175 is the norm.I think 195 is a bit on the high side. The dealer should be able to tell you what thermostate the car has! H

Just FYI for Toyota Prius's case...
The thermostat starts to open at 82C(180F) and we see nominal 88C(190F) during normal conditions. The cooling fan will be on at 100C(212F).
I belive the HCH is not much different.
