Misterlar has it right. We will never ever buy another Honda vehicle for the rest of our lives. My problem is that I'm now stuck with this POS even with 1 year left of OEM warranty. I have it for sale and a guy was coming over to pick it up today...finally after having it up for sale for months. He talked to a few Honda technicians yesterday and they told him to avoid the hybrids because they have huge problems. Thanks Honda.

 

Hope this doesn't come across as trollish, but 2nd gen and beyond Priuses seem pretty reliable (wouldn't buy a 1st gen at this point). See http://prius.wikia.com/wiki/Lifespan/Operating_costs.

It looks like Carins is pretty hot climate (http://www.weather.com/weather/wxcli...graph/ASXX0020) and thus isn't good for HV batteries.
