It's been a long time since I've reached my hands into an engine compartment except to add oil. But I'm game to replace my HCH II's cabin air filter.

Just changed the cabin filter on my 07 TCH. It was not necessary to remove the glove compartment at all. The back of it has a cutout that allows you to squeeze the tabs of the cabin filter compartment door. Once you pull that out of the way, the filter is pulled out, slide the new one in and replace the door. Five minutes worth of work and I was prepared for a major hassle by all the horror stories I have read on this site about it.

I just happened to take a look at our HCHII's cabin filter over the weekend (bored, sitting in the car), and regardless of wannasave being a little disoriented, his description works for the HCHII as well. They must have similar designed glove box.
