The good news is it took only 30 seconds to get to and inspect the filter; the bad news is that i hope i put it back in the right direction. Which way is the airflow? (in other words is the lettering on the filter rightside up or upside down. I am a bad boy.

All I remember is that the "leaves and twigs" side was up! Make sure the dirtiest portion is facing up, and you'll be okay!

Dont waiste the money on the Honda filter. The WIX and others at auto parts stores are $12 to $30. And work just fine.

For referance a WIX for our 05 Accord EX is $19. A Bosh is $29

Was anyone able to buy a cabin filter from a local auto store other than the dealer? If so, how much was it and how would you compare it to the OEM cabin filter?

I order my filters from fleetfilter.com and the price for the cabin filter is $12.39 plus shipping. These are Napa Gold filters. Also, the product number is 24815.

P.S. I also get my oil and air filters from them too.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the site! I know where I will be getting my filters from... however I can't seem to find the air filter listed by the WIX cross-reference guide (49157). The list only goes up to 468xx for air filters.

FYI, here are the 3 cross-reference numbers for the 06-07 HCHII filters to purchase at fleetfilter.com :

Air Filter - 49157
Cabin Filter - 24815
Oil Filter - 51356

Unfortunately, that air filter isn't listed on the site but I've e-mailed them for the price. It's $11.44 for the air filter (49157) and will take 1-2 weeks for them to get it. To order it, you'll have to put it into the order comments (product number and quantity) and they'll add it to your order.

P.S. I try to order $125 or more of product, so, I can get the extra 15% discount on my order.

Take Care,
Paul

You don't have to unscrew anything to check the in cabin filter. Just press in the side of the glovebox when you have it opened and it will drop down so you can view the door to where the filter is.
