I have been very pleased with my TOMTOM GO700. They don't make that version but there is a much newer version out there with features better or equivalent.

I prefer TOMTOM because they were the first to break the $1000.00 price point for GPS systems in the states. In fact Garmin sued TomTom on a frivolous lawsuit about access rights. TomTom sued back and I never heard what happened in the end.

I have built in navigation in my Civic so the TOMTOM sits on my book shelf....

Garmin i5 using online poker winnings a couple of years ago.

Its about size of a baseball, with small screen. Lady talks to you, giving you directions.

Hung it from vent (2 paperclips) to right of steering wheel, so it does not take up limited dash/window. Works well.
