Upgrading / changing mass air flow from assembly to cartridge?

Upgrading / changing mass air flow from assembly to cartridge?
On the 09 sierra hybrid all the better cia setups and mag upgrades seem to be geared toward the cartridge style will the cartridge style work in place of my current one? I'm getting mixed results. If so does any one have a recommendation for an upgrade?9
