good deal. Called locally to get prices and was told they couldn't get the battery now. And why do they need a vin to look up parts?

They want your VIN to confirm they have the correct part number. It doesn't matter that there's only 1 HV battery. They do this for ALL parts.

It has always been $3600.00 and add some install labor and core. At least that didn't change. That's way back 2015!

I see this thread is old but, What happens if I Disconnect the service plug on a 09 Tahoe hybrid? Will it run and go into gear or will it not do anything? Trying to troubleshoot some transmission issues and am suspecting bad Hybrid battery. Reading 14 volts when the truck is running and nothing on according to my scan tool. When connected it wont go into any gear and get a clicking noise from the transmission.

Truck won't start at all if the service plug is disconnected. The transmission needs the HV battery to start the engine. Are any codes set? I'd start by disconnecting, inspecting, and reconnecting the 2 harnesses going into the transmission.

What harnesses are you talking about? Looked underneath the truck while i had it in the air and didnt see anything obvious. Or do i need to pull the ones on the battery?

I just put new hybrid battery in my 09 Tahoe Hybrid and now its raising in rpm's and when i put it in gear it just jurkes and sometimes it does't even go into gear. Had 12 volt battery checked it said in EOL could that be the problem. did you get it fixed

If the 12V battery is not supplying enough current to power the transmission Aux Pump, that could cause issues going into gear. Put a new battery and check all the power cables for corrosion and make sure they are secured properly.
