stalling when reversing in 4x4 hybrid against a steep uphill offroad
sanosteam, also check your power electronics coolant loop reservoir. You'll note there are two coolant bottles behind the radiator; one for engine coolant, and a dedicated independent one for the power electronics. You'll see the inlet and exit hoses attached to the front of the inverter box on the passenger rear side of the engine bay. It has two dedicated pumps and a dedicated radiator element. Especially in your climate, it's important to make sure it's up to full level, and keep all your condenser coils clean to insure the best peroformance from the powere electronics as well as the 300V A/C compressor.
Ok, Just checked and both coolant reservoir up to level. I had no way to check if the the pumps. I'm not sure if that the case, a code should show in the tec II diagnostic tool.
I'm currently experiencing another issue that could be linked to this topic. replacement transmission wiring harness.

You can hear the pumps when you key on without starting. They make a distinct hum. If there is a blockage in the coolant loop or the pumps aren't working for some reason eventually you'll set power electronics overtemp codes.
You have a hybrid auxiliary circuit box in front of the engine not far from the 12V battery and the fuse and relay for the power electronics coolant pumps are located there. There should be a legend/key on the underside of the circuit box cover.
