Talking Reversing in L.A.

Hi, My name is Carla. This is my first post and I was hoping you all would have an answer for me. I am no car wiz far from it. Yesterday I was going to a dinner party in downtown L.A. and I don't drive around hilly places much but when I tried to park behind a car and then reverse to get out my car would not reverse. Has anyone else had this problem? When I parked a hill with a much smaller slant I still had the problem I had to turn the wheel all the way to the right or left in order to have the car reverse. I was freaked out and I was just wondering if I should take it in for service or if it is normal? Thanks ahead of time!

Carla,

I've never had that happen. I don't spend a lot of time in reverse... but when I use it, it works! I'd take it to the dealer for an inspection. Good luck!

When you parked, by any chance did the car auto stop? I under-stand the brakes can hold when on a hill, so next time go to drive [d] and move slightly, then reverse. Also make sure the park brake is released!
