I am running 24's with 285/40/24 tires. I have had zero issues, the speedometer is off about 3 mph, I have an aftermarket gps that shows speed... zero rubbing, rides fine, drives fine. I chose 40 to decrease the chance of wheels being bent or tires blowing out on potholes etc.. Had several bmws w/o runflats that I have blown out or bent rims with the 35 size. Rubber bands look cool on the vehicle but not reliable..
