GM Recall Notice
I'm taking mine in tonight for the recall service. They are checking if they can do it while I wait, otherwise, maybe I can get a nice loaner. I really want to try out the Malibu.
Off topic, I test drove the CTS Sport Wagon with the DI 3.6L last night. What a car! Nothing out of the EU can touch this car for $20K more. I highly recommend driving one. I took it out on Harmony Grove Road in the night and the combination of surgical steering precision, a suspension that is glued to the road, and the adaptive headlights let me drive faster than I ever have on that road in the daytime. Wow...
Now, maybe I know what I'll do while I wait for the software update, the Caddy dealer is right across the street. Hehehe...

My recall service is complete. Only software, they did not have to replace the solenoid.
I am 100% certain the vehicle switches to V4 mode earlier. I was stunned to look down and see it in V4 mode, accelerating, showing 12MPG. I have never been in V4 mode below 18MPG before and never during an initial acceleration without lifting off the throttle first. Before, if accelerating on level ground, the V4 would generally kick-in at 21MPG unless I lifted off the throttle first.
I reset the MPG indicator and will see how it does. It was indicating 19.1MPG over the past 1,000 miles or so. This is wife driving mileage, so much lower than I get. She is a lead-foot...

I took my Tahoe to the Cadillac Hellas here in Athens to see if they could do the software upgrade for me.
They got the software .. but apparently they did not have the MDI machine to install it.
They tried to use the Tech2 diagnosis computer, and it would go all the way through the setup and fail at the installation stage.
So will have to wait until they either get a MDI or when I take it back to the UK for a visit. Having said that not sure if my dealer in the UK has an MDI machine either.
Any of you guys in the US know anything about this?
