GM Recall Notice
#21
got mine done...
no worries. i specifically asked how they would know if the clutch pack was cracked. the reply was that it would shift hard, so I mentioned that mine sometimes shifts hard...just to get it on record . I also found out how to turn the dome lights on and off.....DUH.
12k fourth oil change and they aligned it and rotated my tires. i still like the yukon...a lot!

Re: GM Recall Notice
Got it back yesterday, no issues!
Ron Baker said the original reason mine wouldn't take the update there was an issue with the brake ECU, but they reset that and it took.
The radio now goes off as should, they just switched out a electrical harness in the door.
The Buick was nice, but happy to have the Tahoe back!

Re: got mine done...
I sure felt stupid when I couldn't figure out the dome override switch. I thought it was by pushing the stick thingy in and out according to the manual and never knew about the toggle switch above it until the dealer showed me. Ditto on the DUH!

Re: GM Recall Notice
I haven't received this recall and am wondering if it's related to the
manufacture date on the truck. Mine was manufactured Apr 09
and I took delivery at 6 weeks ago (yeah, it sat on the lot a bit).
Thanks!

Re: GM Recall Notice
Mebbe I need to pay my dealer a visit on Friday when I have a chance!
Anyone have a scan/copy of the recall notice (with personal info
blacked out of course) that I could use??
Thanks!

Re: GM Recall Notice
I am not sure if the recall notice was the same on the Tahoe/Yukon's as on the Silverado/Sierra's but here it is.
Open Recall 09241 Reprogram Trans Controller
I had my '09 Chevy Silverado 4x4 Hybrid done on 11/13/09 and noticed a drop of .4 mpg immediately. Not a big drop but keeping my eye on it. I am tracking mileage on the DIC and manually. I was averaging 19.5 prior to the update and now 19.1. This does not include on tank pulling a boat/trailer at approximately 4500#'s.
I have talked to my dealer, tech, former regional service Rep., and the GM Customer Service Rep. He gave me his direct line and extension and added my concern over less mpg's from this update. He also gave me a website to give feedback to GM.

They started a case # to keep track on my vehicle on this issue as well. May not be an issue but watching it. I seem to notice that my instant mileage is different and the time in V8/V4 has changed. Also, the reduced mpg's during acceleration seems to be different.
I just joined this site and will get spooled up on here. I have been trying to get another site active since I have found very few forums relating to the 2-mode hybrid trucks. Anyway, I know this isn't the place to say hello but hello anyway.
