having an electric/hybrid SUV changes your driving style overnight. trying to save the last drop of fuel, even fueling when it is already in low range. That is why everytime I drive my range rover sport, I sure miss the rumble of its V8 engine, until two days ago. Trying to merge in traffic and be up to the pace of everybody's speed, I pressed the gas pedal and it immediately reminded me that my escalade is related to its 6.2L brethen and released a loud throathy rumble with its acceleration to match. what a joy to have both worlds

Horsepower is governed by More's Principle. If some is good. More is better. Too much is just about right.
But physics and something called Brake Specific Fuel Consumption BSFC can not be cheated. BSFC is the weight of fuel used to produce a specific amount of power per hour.
My Sea Ray is carbureted so Pounds fuel per Horsepower Hour is about 0.48 ~ 0.5.
The LFA is better than 0.45 pounds per horsepower hour.
Now for my wife's favorite question every time I romp and rumble.
"Was that worth $5 bucks?"
