I think that I've seen it go down a few cents in the past week-ish in the Chicago area I drive through. The cheapest prices available have dropped from $2.44 to $2.37, which I've seen at four different stations now, and the highest prices have gone down ten cents, from $2.75 to $2.65.

 

This afternoon I paid 3.039 a gallon for regular at a Costco here in Los Angeles.

Here in Casper Wyoming prices range from 2.20 to 2.35 for regular and 2.40 to 2.55 for premium. Most vehicles that require 87 octane must purchase mid-grade because of altitude de-rating (5200ft) and pay 2.30 to 2.45.

 

The "gas temperature" map online seems to show the price spike is primarily out here in California, for some reason. The lowest price in LA right now appears to be $3.19 - the LOWEST.

 

$3.09 regular...in Irvine, CA, while I see around $3.05 a bit north in Fountain Valley, CA, and suddenly spiked going more north to LA.

 

It's around $2.59i n Baltimore. But I'm sure that the price will drop for three months right before the 2008 elections. I'm predicting a 3-5 month dip every two years. Ha ha!

 

It's $2.74/gal here. No dips, just a steady increase in price over the last month.

Gassed up yesterday @ 2.49, is this going to be the low for the summer, we aren't even into spring yet.

 

I saw it at $2.40 this morning; not bad compared to the rest of you, I guess.
