what are gas prices at for you?

Re: what are gas prices at for you?
I saw a price posted at $1.569 for 87 octane. After doing a double-take, I saw that it was an abandoned station - with pumps and signs still displayed. It must have been abandoned for quite a while for that posted price.
Most gas at operating stations in SE MI run from $2.20 to $2.30 in the last week of February, 2006.

At our local 'gasoline alley,' the price was $2.04 per gallon. Curiously, it looks like my Prius MPG is such that I can afford the 12 mile round trip to buy gasoline alley gas versus the $2.09 at the 'in town' station just one mile away.

Re: what are gas prices at for you?
Gas in San Antonio has now fallen below $2.28/gal with some stations considerably less. I'd invite you-all to come down and live here - housing is cheap, maids are cheap, food is cheap, and winters are mild 99% of the time - but frankly I'm not sure you all could handle the sunstorms in the winter when we typically get about 12" of sunlight each day. On the other hand, the summers tend to be brutal so the AC is always on, if set back during the day. But then, our water company is city-owned so water is reasonable, our electricity and gas are also municipally owned and exceptionally well run -none of that "privatization" nonsense here - private companies CAN'T run it as cost effectively in spite of the propaganda to the contrary. Oh yeah, then there's the Alamo, the Riverwalk, and the largest collection of rectored 18th century Spanish Colonial Missions in the country.

Re: what are gas prices at for you?
last weekend i filled up in raleigh at 2.449, drove to hilton head island, (the first gas gauge pip went out, i swear, at about 197 miles!), SC and drove around the island all week before refueling at 2.189 down there. some of the cheapest prices in-between were actually along I40 and I95!
try the Raleigh area, dudes: city water and sewer, damaging hurricanes are rare, home prices are still appreciating, winters are mild and summers are a process of going from your aif-conditioned home to your air-conditioned car to the air-conditioned supermarket or shopping mall or restaurant. if it's too hot, the Gulf-Stream-warmed Atlantic Ocean is just a few hours east, and there's lots of boating, fishing and some of the best golf in the world right here.
and if you do, it'll help my home price...

Paid $2.59 gallon at Shell on 9/22 in San Diego. Prices are down about a nickel more now. I've seen a few discount stations advertise $2.49.
