I filled up yesterday at Sam's Club in Newport News, VA: $2.249/gal (hopefully a solid step in the right direction)

 

I was just checking the following website for current gas prices and was surpised to see several stations sell economy unleaded for $2.19 / gal !!

The last I had read prices were stabilizing and possibly trending up a few cents, but I guess the Guzzlers hit pay dirt !

 

WTF is going on here?!? Gas still has not dipped below $2.80 for reg. Sheesh.

 

$2.19 is the lowest in my area with most being about $2.30-$2.45 for regular unleaded. The most I have ever paid in my life for a gallon of gas is $2.619. Ah the benefits of a 2 mile commute.

Dear Helterskelter,
Haven't you heard that loud sucking sound that just reached into every American's pocket? I guess the 12 billion$ profit Exxon made this quarter wasn't quite enough...... All the mall's are empty lately here in the NE because no one can afford anything except gas/heating oil/nat gas. It's a cryin' disgusting shame if you ask me. Something's gotta give or else 95% of us are in big financial trouble....Can't imagine anyone having to pay $1,500/month to heat their house this winter on top of mortgage, tax, food, etc..
