what are gas prices at for you?
Just to chime in with local gas prices for a quick breather on the Global Petroleum Economics discussion...
Denver area over the Labor Day Holiday weekend...
Personally observed stations in the:
Burbs (Unleaded/Mid-Grade/Premium)
$3.09/$3.19/$3.29
Off-Ramp Stations
$3.19/$3.29/$3.39
Near-Airport Rental Car Return Station (Gouging B*stards)
$3.29/$3.43/$3.53
Over the weekend, I took the family camping and was reminded how much fuel can hit the pocketbook. Unfortunately our Prius can't tow a 5,000 lb camper, so we had to take the gas-guzzler truck with the 5.9L V8. Averaging an incredible 7 MPG, we traveled 480 miles over the weekend. Average fuel cost per gallon (the V8 needs the mid-grade) was $3.24... Total fuel costs: $222.17

It's still going up in Baltimore:
Sunday: $3.64
Monday: $3.69
Tuesday: $3.74
I'm thinking it's going to be $8-$10 by Christmas? I won't be able to afford gas even driving a hybrid at that rate!

Hi all,
The quickest way to track local gas $'s is by checking the fuel economy web site for your area. The ones I check are local to me: Orangecountygasprices.com and losangelesgasprices.com Go to one of these sites and search for your area. It shows gas prices on a daily basis.. best of all it shows the lowest prices in your area so you know where to go.

It's actually almost $4/gallon here, which means that a Hummer H2 costs almost a dollar a mile to drive. Ouch!
My plan is to pick up a Honda Rebel 250 motorcycle if gas hits $10/gallon. The Rebel gets 95 MPG.
Back down - god whadda joke - to
$2.89
$2.99
$3.09
with a few resisting holdout stations refusing to drop below $3.00 for regular. Carpetbagging louses.
