The power and ground wires to the visor vanity light also operate the Homelink module. Plug and Play. i have not priced a new visor with Homelink, but expect it to be far over $100. Watching e-bay for a takeout.

 

I replaced my mirror with a Mazda Tribute electronic dimming mirror with temperature and homelink. The Tribute mirror are perfectly compatible with the Escape and you can get them about $100 below the comparable Ford mirror. I paid slightly more than $200 for the mirror through a Mazda discounter in Alabama. This is a good way to add homelink.
