I'm pretty sure metro L.A. doesn't hit below freezing 3-4 times a year. I've lived there my whole life and it never happened.

The valley may hit below freezing, but that's very rare.

Not to argue... but if you don't leave home early, you may miss it!
It's sometimes below freezing at dawn.
I lived on the south side of L.A. from 1970's to 1993 and I had frost on my windows a couple times a year. The (old) washer fluid was always good enough to melt it. It was probably not below freezing for more than a couple hours... ( 4am to 6am? ) And then... just barely.

There's very few areas in the U.S. that never freeze when you think about it.

I am in North San Diego county, 9 miles inland. We have winter days below freezing. Last year, we had nighttime temperatures in the 20's.

I tried buying low temperature washer fluid in Big Bear (8,000 ft.) without success. Everyone there just adds rubbing alcohol.

So much for lower VOCs!

I also like the law that you must have your headlights on if your wipers are moving. (it's for your own safety!) I can understand the under 1000 foot visibility rule, but just because you are using your wipers for ___ reason?

Guess my mothers family counts as part of the exidous out of California. They are moving from Lake Elsinore to Texas (Galveston area) this spring, although I don't think the wiper fluid laws are the main reason
