There is a dealer app. In theory you could activate that trial. Then make sure it gets the subscription message. Finally pull the antenna and wait a few months. Eventually they stop broadcasting the disconnected serial numbers.

I was going to go that route if I couldn't disable it.

 

By the way I saw one of FTM's new videos today and one of the trucks with A/C problems he's working on is a 2009 F-150. The SYNC/NAV screen in that car looks like a dead ringer for the Escape Hybrid (maybe a little wider???) If that's true, you might be able to pull a good unit from an F-150 and swap out the display panel! Go to 2:20 here:

 

F150 and focus I think are the same... but the main problem is that radio cable. I still haven't found another and the car I pulled it from went away to the crusher. I was going to live with the yellow for a bit if I had to. You can't even buy it from ford.
