Default Scanguage Codes

I thought we might have a sticky for all the SG Codes that have been found so far. I printed a small list a few months ago, but I know it grows, almost daily it seems
Just curious why there's not a sticky yet.

Good point. And Carl, may we have the "long list" please?
We of course, accept them "as is" and without gurantee!
( and promise not to complain if some don't work as expected )
Thanks!

The best I found so far is (Carl's?) Pic in the share section (I keep forgetting about that area. That has a bunch. but I know there's more just floating around in the forums.

Perfect, thank you! I knew I'd seen something that presented it in a quick and tidy way, but I was having no luck locating it via the advanced search in the forums. No wonder...I probably originally saw it in the photo area. I forget about that being there, too (haven't added to it in over a year!)

Thanks again!

Yeah... that's a cool list to get started with.... that's still the short list.
There is a much longer list with more details than you'd ever want to know, and ones the car rarely uses that you'd only need to trouble shoot rare problems. That is a very good list... of the "favorites" so to speak!

Now, anyone know were to get such a list for Honda!?

Exclamation Re: Scanguage Codes

TIP:

Long Term Fuel Trim is a good one to watch if you are concerened about ethanol.... if it is in your gas or not, and by how much.

LFT will go up by +3 to +4 for each 10% ethanol. It bounces around based on engine load, so you need to take a running average, not just one reading.

Under light engine load, and at near sea-level, this LFT number should hover around ( average out to ) zero.

The number goes negative ( less fuel used ) at high elevations.

If you change blends of gas, give the car at least 30 miles to re-adjust.

I was mixing my own E20, E30, E40, and like clockwork, the LFT went up in descrete moves of about +3.5 each time. About +14 to +16 for E40, and you don't get an error or check engine lamp unless the car exceeds +/- 25% in a 2005, 28% in an '06 or '07, and 29% in a '08.

For some reason, the newer cars are "allowed" slightly richer amounts before tripping a MIL.

Though you may like to know!

Should be available, but I don't know off the top of my head.
I'll dig a little.
I know I can get a value of 170 for oil pressure with engine warm, but I don't know what units that is.
