I don't have anything like that on my 2005. As for the first picture of the paint flaking off, do you think it could be caused by the rubber bumper pad being missing. I mean it could cause some retaining pressure to not be applied to that part of the window which may be needed. When you take it in to get the bumper pad replaced, I've also see if they could do something about the window as well.

Thanks for the reply (and to everyone else who responded, as well!)

After dropping my husband off at the airport earlier this morning, I washed my FEH and took some Maguiar's NXT Quick Detailer to the white-flecked black portion of the liftgate window interior shown in my Image #1, and voila, the white is gone. It was some kind of heavily caked on residue, perhaps wax or some other substance the dealership must have used when preparing my vehicle. I can't think of anything else that it could be -- it was definitely not hard water deposits or road dust -- it didn't wipe away without the detailer and some fairly good pressure.

I'm still going to get the missing rubber "bumper"/nub replaced ASAP.

Yes, if you want to use a fancy word for "character" that would be the one to use.

(Can your .sig get any longer? How about some MPG readings? Just poking fun...)
