A drive by Performance Ford in Omaha, NE this weekend turned up what must undoubtedly be a fleet order of hybrids. They had 6 identical, white FEH's with apparently no options on them (no window sticker, cloth interior, FWD, no sunroof, etc.). The dealership was closed at the time so I haven't talked with anybody there.

 

Things are not better in Portland, Oregon, for FEH availability. I was at Landmark Ford's lot (largest ford dealer in NW), they have 35, yes 35 gas escapes, and not one FEH. It was about 50/50 earlier this summer and steadily gotten worse.

 

Spoke with my dealer today even though there is still no allocation for my order, they got allocation/build date of 10/9 for 2 orders placed 30 days prior to mine. So extrapolating from that I am hoping to get allocation/build date in the next 3 weeks. At least I hope so

 

I just got a copy of the DORA today from my dealer. They told me the local Ford rep got involved with my order yesterday and then today I got a DORA, so it seems things are moving. Let's hope I get a full VIN assigned soon. How long did that take for others between getting a DORA and a full VIN with build date?

 

What's the Priority on it?

I was told my VIN in mid-August (shortly after the "Segment Date").

Looks like my dealer had allocation available because the car was ordered on 8/2 and I didn't place my order until two weeks later. My salesperson is telling me mid-October delivery.

 

looks like I need to order- just no one around has what i want.

But the crazy bit is I need to get it by year end for tax reasons.

I found a dealer that will order and allow me to put in bench marks so I can get my deposit back. Can someone explain to me what I should be looking for?

What's a "DORA"?

off all the dates listed in the past few posts- any of those get you a real delivery date? Once I get a VIN does that mean they have a realistic delivery date?
