Default Re: Any July orders received yet?

I thought it was the VIN only. I called the ERL and gave them all the info, but they are saying my order has not been placed and can't find it in the order bank. It seems until dealer gets allocation and VIN order doesn't show up on ERL. Can someone verify that?

Thumbs up October - 2008 FEH available in east/central Iowa

Hey list folk--

I got impatient with my FEH order (placed in early June) and moved on to purchase one off the lot in Illinois. I got a call today from the original dealer with whom I was working -- he said that they had kept the order in the system and it was finally selected for production. They will have it to sell some time in late October, and he asked me to spread the word around if anybody is interested in it. It's nearly a base model, but would still be an excellent FEH!

Gray color
Moonroof/sat radio package
110 volt outlet
Front wheel drive

I wish we had the resources to buy it... I'd trade in our little Hyundai on a second one of these in a minute. Our new FEH has been excellent so far (with only a few weeks of experience to go on). If anyone is interested, you can call West Branch Ford, in West Branch, Iowa.

Default MMH08 order waiting, Ford 2 increase allocations?

I am on my second week of my MMH08 order waiting to get allocation. My dealer told me today their management participated in a Ford Advertising meeting where all dealers were complaining about allocation for hybrids. Ford said they are aware of problem and promised they would increase allocation but didn't give any specifics. Has anybody else waiting for a hybrid heard similar things from their dealer?

We are going on 13 weeks waiting and haven't heard a thing from our dealership. NOTHING! I emailed the salesperson yesterday asking for him to update us from his Regional Manager.

i guess it varies from dealer to dealer and city to city. i've read if your dealer is in a big city and not a small guy their orders get allocation first. i hope mine doesn't take that long, but its sad we have to wait so long.

is your dealer still waiting to get allocation on it? Have you asked them to provide you with the DORA?

I asked about Allocation and Dora and this is what I got back from the

"I am still waiting to here back from the regional manager. When this vehicle was ordered it was priority 10 which is (rush). I just want to reiterate that there is not anything that Hammonton Ford or myself can do about this vehicle taking so long to be built. It is out of our hands.
Thank you"

So that is all I have to go on. And I have heard nothing again when I emailed yesterday.

Guess you could try Mercury Customer relations.
Mercury by phone:
Toll Free: (800) 521-4140
United States Hours of Operation: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Local Time (Monday-Friday)

http://www.mercuryvehicles.com/help/contactus.asp
(there is also a ASK Ford link where you can send in an email)

When I had called them about a different issue, at the end of the call when they ask if there is anything else they can help with, I joked about checking my order status. The lady stated that they can't check unless the order has been in the system over 5 weeks.

As you are well beyond that point & not getting any satisfying answers from your dealer, you could see if customer relations can help provide some more meaningful answers.

Good luck!
