Seems that a bunch of VINs were assigned on 9/27. I'm on track for 10-12 weeks. It seems to me that deliveries are getting a bit better, but I could be wrong. My dealer advised normally 10-12, but be prepared for 16-18 weeks. It helps he golfs with the Ford regional rep, that's why I went with him instead of the big dealer down the street.

I was using Xplan to get the vehicle, and my dealer didn't place an order. The claim was that they have a high allocation and "get them all the time." They did get a shipment of Mariners around the time I got mine and traded with another dealer to get the color I wanted. I wasn't in a rush, so I let them get away with not placing an order.

The truth was that during the delay period they didn't get any, but now they do have them in stock.

Several fleet management companies updated production lead time estimates this week. The FEH is now listed at 18-20 weeks from the date of the order. The regular FE remains at 8-10 weeks and the MMH remains at 10-12 weeks.

Dropped mine off at my dealer today for the "service campaign" on the wiring harness in the HVBattery. When I went back this evening I wandered the lot and counted a minimum of 12 2008s for sale, multiple colors and options. I looked in detail at a Kiwi Green FWD unit with almost all the options (Nav, Premium, etc) sticker was around $33.1K and it had a tag marked $30,250. (I'm sure they negotiate from there). This dealer has sold a lot of the FEH's from day one - I bet Ford gives them whatever allotment they want.

[The service manager told me he ordered 5 of the battery repair kits - up front - so he would always have stock on-hand to perform the "recall". He also said that Ford says non-hybrid certified techs can perform the recall but that he always uses his hybrid techs - of which he has three.]

Finally picked up our Mariner Hybrid yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They told us 3 dealerships called yesterday to try and get it. It is the only FWD MMH on the east coast at a dealership yesterday. It was so nice to finally pick it up!!!!!!!!!!

Will take a pic soon.

Hey Everyone,

I am so excited, I am picking up the MMH Hybrid I ordered on 6/28 today!!!!!!

Just in time for a great tax year!

Ford even sent me an apology letter along with extending the extra 1000 for the Trade my ride program they have. I think my dealership was partially helpfull in getting that. Plus since I bought back in June, I still get the 500 finance on my own, and the 500 student discount since i am working on my masters degree. So thats a total of 2000 off. I was very appreciative.

I am heading out on a 1000 mile roadtrip tommorrow. We will see how things go!

I had lunch with a friend recently and she said when she was buying her MM, the local dealership had a bunch of MMH on the lot. This is in the Detroit metro area.

pb5927317,

You mentioned a Ford "Trade my ride" program. I can't find any reference to this.

Can you explain it or cite a reference link?
