How long til VIN is generated?

Re: How long til VIN is generated?
I have not heard that Ford passed the 60,000 hybrid unit sales so the full credit amount should remain in effect until the end of Q2 of 2008. I expect Ford phase out to begin Q3 or Q4 of 2008, assuming the tax credit laws don't change before then.
Check here for more information regarding credits and phase out explanation (http://fueleconomy.gov/feg/tax_hybrid.shtml)
The FEH/MMH/MTH (and any others models that are added in 2008) are all counted toward the 60,000 limit since they are all under the Ford Corporate umbrella as far as the government is concerned.

Re: How long til VIN is generated?
FYI,
I see here, that as of Sept 30, 2007, Ford had sold: 38,743 qualified vehicles.
http://www.irs.gov/newsroom/article/...175139,00.html
That's been running about 2,000 per month.
