From what I have been reading, it might be more like 8 to 12 weeks after the order is sent to Ford (for a total of 12 to 16 weeks).

I'm hoping (for my sake) that orders are at a low this time of year and there will be less of a wait.But from what I am reading on this forum, it will be well worth the wait.

Hmmm, that's good news - I'll have to go and bug my dealer in a month or so. I'd like to get the paper work started on the federal tax credit.

As you probably know, the IRS is only concerned with "date placed into service". So, if the FEH isn't delivered to you until 2008, you won't be able to claim the tax credit until you file your 2008 return.

Is there a chance that the tax credit would end before I took delivery?
If I read correctly, the current tax credit is an extension of the original limited date.
