I don't think that they changed in 2010 pretty sure it is the same body
I also read that the glass of the sunroof can make rattle either in a TSB or in the workshop manual
If I find it do you want me to post it?

Look at page 501-17-3
• The roof opening panel rattles GO to Pinpoint Test C.
• Incorrect roof opening panel glass alignment
• Roof opening panel lifter assemblies
• Roof opening panel tracks
• Roof opening panel drain channels and guides
• Roof opening panel shield
• Roof opening panel assembly

thanks again, Quebec.

not sure if I stated this earlier, but the noise is louder when the sunroof cover panel is open, and it seems to be coming from overhead and slightly behind the passenger if you are in that seat. the noise can also still be heard with the sunroof itself open. it is a distinct "ticking" type sound.

please keep replies coming, thanks everyone

here's the noise...you can first hear it about 10 seconds in, then repeatedly.

That would drive me NUTS! Out of place noises in the car really get to me. Once I hear them I cannot focus on anything else.

My escape has made various sounds that I have had corrected - ticking from the cargo door latch, clicking from the cargo door's window latch. I also had the same noise you describe in #2 of your original post. I had all of them fixed but it took three tries to get #2 fixed because nobody could figure out what it was. Here is the thread I showed them that led to it being corrected:

I wish you luck with the sound in your recording. That's an odd one. I just put this out there - is it possibly something loose on the roof rack? maybe have someone drive while you stand up with your head through the sun roof. See if you can detect it from outside.
