Exclamation HELP FAST: How to tell is a used hybird has the 10yr/150,000 mile warranty?

Hi guys, I'm looking to buy a used 2006 ford hybrid escape, FHE. It has 109k miles on it, 4wd, and the VIN is FMYU96H66KC27906. I am only interested if the battery and expensive hybrid components are covered until 2016ish and 150,000 miles. That would give me 2+ worry free years on this hybrid. It is for sale by private seller in NH, and I will be registering it in Maine. Maine is a California emissions CARB state, but NH is not. I am confused about the fact that it is originally a NH car, and I have no idea if it is even an AT-PZEV hybrid. I need help to figure out if this had the 150,000 mile warranty. Please give me tips. The inner door panel states that is meets federal safety and theft prevention ect, but nothing about California. PLEASE help me, I want to buy it tomorrow so I can work the next day! Thanks!

AFAIK if a vehicle is built to the CARB emissions standard, it will have a sticker under the hood indicating compliance.
You'll have to find out what Maine's laws are with respect to hybrid vehicle warranties. Keep in mind few people have had the 3 components covered by the extended warranty replaced so it may be a gamble anyways if this is a concern.

I'm pretty sure there is only one version of the FEH; they are all CARB compliant. Whether or not it is the 150K warranty depends on if the car was sold in a state that adheres to the CARB standards. The OP says that the car was sold in a non-CARB state.

EDIT: For that matter, every car I've looked at lately has the statement that it is "50 State" compliant.

Ask the Ford dealership service department to run an OASIS report on the VIN. That will tell you the warranty coverage.
