Grille covers ??
What does this do to the HV electronics since one would be blocking off their cooling too.
Are those electronics inside or outside of the cabin? If outside, I'd think they would be cold enough.
We've had had cool (sub 40 degree F) weather in Michigan now for a week or so. My mileage has not dropped, as it did previously. I'm using the adjustable radiator block. Right now I've left about 1 inch across the top open. When it gets colder, I'll go for the full block.
I found a solution-custom fitted grille covers via "FIA".
I did order one two days ago and it should arrive next week. I will then post a photo and supply a short post.
Go to the file attachment for the link.

Very interesting. Please let us know how you like it.
Thanks for the Link, and I think it's a reasonable price also.
Just what I was looking for.
I ordered one myself.
I like that it has a "window" for those warmer days.
And a bug shield for summer too!
Since I drive mostly highway, I'm in favor of the bug/chip shield properties as well as the warm-up properties.
With the block heater on:
In a garage with still air, my ICE goes from ~40'F to ~100'F in 2.5 hours.
At work, outdoors, with wind, my ICE goes from ~35'F to 65'F in 2.5 hours.
I'm curious to see how much heat this will help "trap" at work.
Thanks Again Bill.

I used a plastic top from the storage bins you find at Home Depot/Costco, etc. It was about 2" deep with the lip around the outside - so when I wedged it in front of the radiator it made a fairly tight fit. This is what I was looking for since I didn't want it rattling around.
It doesn't completely cover the radiator, maybe 20% is open, but we had some 30-35F temps on last nights drive home and it *seemed* to keep the engine warmer and I didn't have problems coming out of EV driving through neighborhoods.

Couldn't you put that information right in the post? Why do people around here feel the need to put images and URLS in M$ Word docs?
Maybe the poster didn't know any better. I'm glad for the shared information, though.
