I ordered an '06 FEH a few weeks ago here in Montreal, Canada. Unfortunately my configuration was not in stock anywhere so I had to order it. At first, my sales rep said that it would take 4-6 weeks to get it. After a week or so (after I pestered him for an update) he said "the computer" showed that it was in manufacturing (as oposed to waiting to be manufactured). He thought that was fast and that it may arrive early. After 2 weeks, I pestered him again and now he is saying 6-8 weeks from the order date again. He was not terribly interested in actually checking up on it so I suspect he said that to get rid of me until the thing actually arrives. He made a mistake in the original order which ended up costing him a lot of his margin so I suspect he is not motivated to be overly helpful.

Anyway, I would like to know if any of you ordered and got an FEH recently and if you had to order it, how long it took to get delivery.

I remember a friend of mine purchased a Volvo XC and he was able to track the order through the whole process like tracking a FedEx package! It's too bad that years later Ford cannot let us do this, despite owning Volvo...

That's interesting. When I ordered mine, I got an update every Monday from my salesman, telling me where it was and when I would get it. He called it the bluesheet or blacksheet or something, that they get every Monday on the vehicle status.

I ordered mine in mid-May (15th or so), as there were none with what I wanted, so it had to be built for me, I was told initially 6-8 weeks, then that I would get an '06 rather than an '05, and was at the front of the list. June 1st, I picked her up.

I really would have enjoyed a similar experience. I still don't know when it will arrive, however I'll "assume" the original 6-8 weeks will be correct and hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised. It's a pain because I don't want to put too much mileage on the trade-in so I have to consider renting if I have a long drive to do.

i ordered my '06 the last week in june and picked it up a the end of august so it took about 8 weeks total...pretty reasonable for a new car IMO. initially i was told it would probably be late september (12+ weeks) so i was glad when it arrived early.
