Default A/C Shut Off

Does the A/C shut off when the vehicle is at a stop light like the original Pirus? The HCH does this if you have the economy mode engaged. Just curious.

In the '05 FEH, if it's set to "AC" or "AC with recirc", then the AC shuts off whenever the ICE is not running (which usually happens at stoplights, after the initial warmup period, and other times as well). If it is set to "Max AC", then the AC overrides the ICE shutoff, and the ICE keeps running all the time to provide cooling.

That's the same in the '06. AC and AC recycling are off when the ICE is off. AC Max, ICE never goes off, Max AC stays on.

There are settings that are red in the FEH, that indicate that the ICE will be on regardless of charge or circumstances that would otherwise turn it off; Max AC and Defroster.
