Brake pad choice

Brake pad choice
Good evening everyone! I need to change my brake pads and rotors since they are pitted and are starting to make noise.
I was looking at pads and rotors on rock auto and I noticed that some motorcraft ones have an option for regenerative braking and some don’t. Rockauto shows that both will fit and work fine.
Do you think that they are different? I was looking at maybe using the Powerstop brand ones, but they do not mention anything about regenerative braking.
thank you

Re: Brake pad choice
There was an earlier post discussing this issue. Personally I would go with OE designed for regenerative. They have passed the test of time and are not expensive. I would also replace any related hardware like clips etc which you may have to buy separately especially if you are in the salt belt. .https://www.greenhybrid.com/forums/f...010-feh-32397/

Re: Brake pad choice
If you want to maximize the benefit, consider rebuilding the calipers. The seals function as a "spring" to retract the pads slightly to pull them away from the rotors and reduce friction when it is not needed. Over time and many heat cycles the seals lose their flexibility and no longer retract the piston as designed.
This is quite a bit more trouble as you have to go through the complicated bleeding procedure.
