Thumbs down Battery replacement

Is replacing the rear battery as simple as unplugging it,removing it and placing a new battery pack in its place? Will it mess with alarm and ecu at all or need reprogramming the ecu?

Ive seen prices have dropped $500 for batteries with low miles on ebay... j/w if its that simple. My battery is fine but id like to be prepared if i ever come across this.

batteries will only last 90 days on the shelf.... if you own a spare, you will also need a 360 volt trickle charger, or else get into a habit of rotating 200 pound packs every 3 months.
