ABS Buttonology

I have an ABS light. How do you retrieve the DTCs from the ABS? Using the regular readout button pushing shows no stored DTCs.

What buttons and sequence do you push to get this info?

You need a good scanner to retrieve those codes.

Does the ABS light come on during braking? Then it could be the famous cracked tone ring.

No, brake line broke. Replacing calipers and such so want to ensure I know all that's in the stored DTC memory.

Bill,

You will need a factory scanner or a good aftermarket (I use Snap-on's). There are also some ABS only scanner units out there but they are pricey as well.
