I don't know how "smart" the Hymotion pack is. A "smart" pack could keep Ford's battery at 50%, thus allowing room for regen. If it always keeps Ford's "topped off" then you are probably correct. At HybridsPlus, the Lithium pack takes regen at all SOC levels. ( well, less than 100%! )
