Thumbs up Re: 2009 order and build dates

Well my Dealer informed me that she still only has a VIN. BUT she did tell me I'll be the first '09 FEH they get! Don't want to crush any dreams so I'll just say it's coming from the 92807 zip.

Still looking at a build week of June 22nd.

UPDATE

My "Status Report" says, as of 6/19. I'm "Locked-in" for a delivery week of 7/7!

Is there any way to confirm that 09 production began as scheduled on the 23rd? Julian

From the Blue Oval Forum (Ford Employee section):
"I personally walked the chassis line on my way out of work this morning and there were hybrids."

The quote above was posted today @ 1020.

I really like all the options the include in the new limited model now. I added the pricey Navigation System only because I like the Hybrid console. Really wish Ford would include this for free like in the Prius'. Also wish they would offer more interior color options as I'd rather have black over stone.

Paying $31,408 for the vehicle with the X-Plan corporate discount (like 5% off sticker I believe). Will keep you posted when I receive any updates.
Just received my Escape on 11/8 as it arrived on 11/5. Approximately 7 months but I'm very happy with it so far. I owned a 2005 before and I can honestly say that they've come a LONG way in 4 model years.

A couple changes I'd like to see...

Decrease the difficulty getting into EV mode.... it's too sensitive
If you set cruise under 35 mph, unless your climbing a steep grade, it should stay in EV mode.
