Default 2009 ford escape hybrid

2009 Ford escape hybrid will shift and drive but when you put it in park it will still roll. So if I am in the driveway I can put it in park and still push it while running and it will roll and then the triangle of death comes on and it says to stop. It shift free and can run in all the gears including reverse but it won't lock in park even though it says its in park

Probably the shifter cable has gone bad. It can be replaced. It is probably not moving the transmission actuator lever all the way into Park. So no parking pawl action inside the eCVT, and the computer is crying foul because the car is not supposed to move. It is saying: "The shift lever is in Park. Why am I moving? Danger!"

It's kind of a chore, but it can be done in the driveway with hand tools. See this thread, which includes discussion and a video link. If you chock the wheels, then get under the car and manually move the transmission lever all the way into PARK, it should lock the pawl and then you will verify this is what's wrong. Make sure you set the parking brake and chock the wheels first.

Also, I am 99% sure that one of these is the correct cable for your car (I'm leaning toward the second one). You should probably call a good Ford dealer parts department with your VIN and have them look it up to verify, but these should get you started. Even though the first one says: "Hybrid" it also says "6-Speed Automatic Trans" which the eCVT is definitely not. So there is a possibility the Hybrid uses the second cable. Maybe someone here can verify, otherwise call your Ford dealer and have them double check.

It may be THIS ONE, which looks longer and is $20 more but specifically says "CVT Auto Trans":
