2009 FEHL oil filter - cartridge or spin-on
I had my oil changed a while back at a Mr. Lube and I remember them having quite a hard time "finding" the correct oil filter for my 2009 FEHL, I4 2.5L.
I'm about to change my own oil and I see that there is a spin-on oil filter on my vehicle. But I've also read references to a cartridge type filter being on the 2009 FEHL...so I'm wondering this: did Mr. Lube replace my cartridge type oil filter with a spin-on? Is that even possible?

According to what I've seen, the Motorcraft FL2017B is used on Escape Hybrids produced before 12-3-08, so that would include early 2009's. (Cartridge)
The Motorcraft FL910 is used on units produced after 12-3-08. (Spin-on)
Check your door plate for your build date. They are not interchangeable.

many thanks. i saw another posting that said builds prior to 12/08 had the spin-on and builds 12/08 had the cartridge. my build was 01/09 and i have a spin-on, so your info must be correct. thanks.
