We have a 2007 Ford Escape Hybrid Symptoms: The engine revved up super high it belched out a cloud of white smoke then the engine shut off while going uphill on the freeway. I waited 20 minutes later the car started up and is working fine since. Codes were cleared already. The car tends to rev at higher speeds while on the freeway.
