2006 FEH Buying Experience

Re: 2006 FEH Buying Experience
The salesperson I dealt with had minimal knowledge about the FEH. I knew more about the FEH with all the research I had done. The funniest thing was the gal whose job it was to show all the features to the customer after the vehicle had been purchased. She actually pointed out the 110 AC plug and said "this must be where you plug in the car to charge the battery". Additionally she didn't know that the six disk CD changer was under the passenger seat. She kept on telling me I had to play my CD's from the dash.

What was most amusing to me was that the salesman had no idea about the tax change. You'd think if your customer was about to save ~$2000, you'd know about it and be promoting the heck out of it. And even after I explained the difference, he still didn't understand. Oh well.

I concur. They had no idea about the tax change. They really didn't understand the 2005 tax rebate either. Shame on Ford corporate for not training their people adequately. They are definately missing a big opportunity. Between the Tax credit in 2006, the fuel savings, and the SimplePlan pricing, I speculate that it took care of the difference in price between the FEH and a comparably appointed V6. I would think they would be all over it.

That's surprising. My salesperson didn't know anywhere near what I did about the hybrid technology, he did know about the tax rebates. Heck, as I recall, it was even in the brochure for the vehicle!
