is there way to pull codes without taking it in to the dealership?.... it hasnt turn on again

on coolside i got 268hp @5500rpm.....

as for engine breaking while going downhill i set my speedometer to 55 mph and it stays there at a constant speed on the HEV display it shows the electric engine doing more work than the ICE.. so thats some good info...

Texas hills are worst cali/arizona/newmexico on the I10 i got the worst mileage @ 15.8... ive take the trip from cali to texas before averaging @ 18mpb, so im not complayning for carrying about 5000lbs of cargo and towing combined.. ill get a weight ticket once i reach my destination to get a confirmation of the weight....

so far as long as you follow towing procedures not over correcting steering there is no sway or struggle on FEH..

The reason your ScanGauge MPG was always way less than the dash is the same reason you got an impossibly high horsepower number:

You had one or more settings wrong in the ScanGauge set up.
My number one guess is you had engine size set higher than actual.

The scan gauge only uses math to make some assumptions. It doesnt actually "measure" anything. The math was off in your ScanGauge.

I've towed 3200 pounds, but that was a private trailer.
I'm surprised U-haul let you drive away with that!

I recently used my 2007 FEH to tow a uhaul from Key West to New Mexico and no problems. No scangage so can't report much. Going over the hills in Texas was a little tough. Engine at 5000 RPM plus a lot. Speed limit was 80 and I was able to maintain 70 most of the time but got scared up them hills so I tried to keep it at whatever speed I could with 5000 rpm or less. 10 MPG most of the way. BUT no overheating no problems at all.
