2. Lexus LFA

2012 Lexus LFA

Lexus produced the LFA for only two years, 2010-2012. Today it remains a cult classic for a number of reasons. Okay, we admit that a lot of those reasons are variations on the word fast. But the LFA didn’t just have the power, it had the power optimized to maximum effect. Custom built, the Lexus LFA is possibly one of the most beautiful cars we have ever seen. And its 4.8-liter V10 delivered 553 horses, and one of the most succulent and intoxicating exhaust notes ever.

Toyota now has access to a number e-platforms that make an LFA EV possible. Honestly, they have technology that could even surpass the LFA’s supercar specs. It fits well with their existing line up, and carries the trusted rep of Lexus and Toyota. Lexus might even be able to apply some of that sound mix magic to give it a soundtrack. At the time, the LFA gave us a glimpse of the future. Now that the future is here, the only thing missing is the pure driving poetry of the Lexus LFA.
