600 mile tank -- Prius Classic
Hi folks,
The actual mileage was unremarkable, just 54.5 MPG, but it was for the whole 11.3 gallons. This tank included six hill climb tests.

My best was 531 on 10.6. I *knew* I should have run that tank dry!
Can rarely get 10 gallons into the old beast anymore. KaleCoAuto still does not sell bladder stretchers. Edit: they do have radiator insulators though. Hmmm.......

Maybe if you cut out a little extra weight by using KaleCoAuto's cross drilled brake lines you could get a few tenths on an mpg more.
The farthest I've gone so far with my '02 is 524.0 at 11.1, I've had other tanks with better mpg but filled up sooner.

Hi,
Actually the congratulations go to Toyota for their outstanding engineering. I had a simple, 'sit down' job. <GRINS>
I just enjoy sharing 'lessons learned' about how this remarkable vehicle works. Over time, my focus has been on and remains maximizing the vehicle performance by understanding the engineering. It is a lot easier to achieve high mileage when you have the engineering 'cheat sheet.'
BTW, Ken, Wayne, Hobbit, Graham and a host of others pioneered most of the work and I'm just following in their footsteps.

If you plan it... they will come.
Almost! 583.5, and all I could squeeze in to the tank was 10.4 gallons. I guess I could have gone a little further, but I was already getting nervous with the last pip blinking most of the day and knowing the next gas station was around 20 miles away.
