1 mo report card.
Wow, been over a month since I acquired my '06 Prius. Not much has changed since I posted my 1 week report card (https://www.greenhybrid.com/discuss/...ad.php?t=4993). Still like the car, still feel the same about it as I wrote earlier. Still would like more complete/informative instrumentation, but that may be solved with a scanguage, http://www.scangauge.com/ or CanView, see: http://priuschat.com/-t11644.html

I can't say enough about the hatchback design, it's just the right thing for me. Had to move my mother into a new residence across town recently, I put down the seats, filled it up with her stuff and away we went!
I did add mud guards to the front wheel-wells [only]. Don't think they'll be needed in the back. Bought them from Metro Toyota, http://www.metrotpn.com/ProductDetai...x?ProductID=86, best price, cheapest shipping. Same product as offered from Sigma and Costal (see this thread for more info: https://www.greenhybrid.com/discuss/...rius.4929.html)
Average MPG is creeping up into mid to upper 40s! Probably due to the engine breaking-in, warmer temps and changing driving habits. City mileage will probably never hit upper 50s or better, around here there are just too many stop signs and lights, placed to close together.
Bottom line, the car is a keeper.
BTW I've read a remark or two in reviews about acceleration. Whether from a stop, or rolling start [to pass] this car has some guts if you're willing to burn some gas. :-)
Happy trails gang, and remember when the nay sayers lament MPG ratings less than the sticker, remind them about the clean air aspects of hybrids.
